Bessie Rosensweig

Bessie Cohen Rosensweig, age 94, of Hamilton, passed away Friday, November 9, 2012. Bessie was born in Hamilton on November 4, 1918, the daughter of John and Dora (Kramer) Cohen. She was a 1936 graduate of Hamilton High School. On November 14, 1942 she was united in marriage to Harry Rosensweig and after 52 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on February 14, 1994. Bessie was a member of the Beth Israel Synagogue, was Past President of the Sisterhood and last year was honored as the oldest living life long member. Survivors include her sons, Jonathan Rosensweig, of Hamilton, Ohio, Alan Rosensweig of North Palm Beach, Florida, Terry Rosensweig of Zephrhills, Florida, Sanford Rosensweig of Austin, Texas and Scott Rosensweig of Hamilton, Ohio; grandchildren, Steven Rosensweig, Andrew Rosensweig, Shenna Shumate and Terra Rosensweig; great-grandchildren, Chloe and Judah Rosensweig; sister-in-law, Daisey Cohen; nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, November 11, 2012 at the Colligan Funeral Home with Rabbi Eric Slaton officiating. Burial in Beth Israel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to Beth Israel Synagogue, 6th & Buckeye Streets, Hamilton, Ohio 45011. Family will be sitting Shiva Sunday – Tuesday 7:00 PM at the residence.
