David Martin

David Patrick Martin, age 44, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at 1:39 PM at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. David was born on January 30, 1968 in Hamilton, Ohio, the son of Terence J. and Janet L. (Fitzwater) Martin. He graduated from St. Ann School and Badin T. High School. He attended the University of Cincinnati. He worked for PSI Engineering, Consulting & Testing as an Engineering Technician before leaving due to illness. David is survived by his parents; uncles, Michael (Vickie) Fitzwater and Gregory (Marcie) Fitzwater; cousins, Michael (Tiffani) Fitzwater, Corey (Mandy) Fitzwater, Logan Fitzwater; Brayden Fitzwater and Maycie Fitzwater; his pets, Minnie and Shady and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gordon and Florence (Weber) Fitzwater; Carl and Winifred (Skalley) Martin and his step grandmother, Frances Martin. David was a great sports fan, always following his favorite teams, Notre Dame, UC, Bengals and the Reds. He also played many sports as a youth and in high school. David traveled to many locations around the country with his job where he made a lot of new friends.The family would like to sincerely thank the University Hospital SICU staff for their excellent care of David while he was there. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations, in David’s name, to St. Ann School/Church or to Stephen T. Badin High School. The family will receive friends at St. Ann Church on Saturday, January 5, 2013 from 9:15 AM til time of Memorial Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment at St. Mary Cemetery will be at the convience of the family.
