Earl Abrams, 85, of Somerville, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013. He was born in Maud, Ohio on October 27, 1927, the son of Thomas and Susan (Bowman) Abrams. Earl served His country with honor during WW II with the US Navy , serving on a troop transport ship in the North Atlantic. On June 18, 1949, he was united in marriage to Philomena Accorinti. In June 1980 he retired from General Motors. Earl enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family, especially Sunday night dinners. He is survived by his wife of over 63 years, Philomena Abrams; his children, Christina Micciche, Michael (Linda) Abrams, Darrell (Kimbra) Abrams, David (Teresa) Abrams, Diana (Bill) Amiot, Carolyn (Stanley) Wagers, Patrick (Patty) Abrams, Regina (Doug) Smith and Angela (Randy) Hacker; many grandchildren and great grandchildren and sister, Mildred (Paul) Moore: He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Daniel Abrams; great grandson, Ty Smith; son-in-law, Frank “Chico” Micciche; one sister and seven brothers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Julie Billiart Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Friends are invited to attend Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 AM Thursday, January 31, 2013 at St. Julie Billiart Church. Burial in St. Stephen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Wednesday at the Colligan Funeral Home. The Abrams Family wishes to extend a special thank you to the owners and staff at Woodland Country Manor for their loving care.
