Floyd Bowling

Floyd Don Bowling age 71, of Hamilton, passed away 12:10 PM Friday, May 23, 2014, at Parkside Nursing Home in Fairfield. He was born in Pineville, KY on February 24, 1943, the son of Lucy ( nee Rhodes) and Leonard Bowling. Floyd attended elementary school in KY and graduated from Garfield Senior High School in Hamilton. Floyd served his country in the US Army and was honorably discharged June 10, 1966. He was employed by Beckett Paper (International Paper) for 35 years before retiring in 2001. He is survived by his daughters Nicole “Nikki” Burch and Jeddah Polakowski and her husband, Joe; four grandchildren, D.J. Hixson, Kelsi Burch, Ava and Joseph Michael Polakowski; sister, Wilma Garrison and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Cledith Shade, Myrtle Bowling, Opal Daud, Martha (Marlene) Myers and Zelma Garrison and two brothers, Kermit Bowling and Earl “Bones” Bowling. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the Colligan Funeral Home from 10:00 AM til time of service at 1:00 PM. Burial with Military Services in Greenwood Cemetery.
