Gene Barnes

Gene R.Barnes, of Hamilton, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2012. Gene was born in Hamilton, the son of Clarence and Esther (Schuler) Barnes. On June 30, 1951, he was united in marriage to Mary L. Turco. Together the couple enjoyed family, square dancing, playing cards and farming. Gene was a valued employee of Pepsi Cola for 27 years. Survivors include his wife, Mary L. Barnes; two children, Michael (Janice) Barnes and Ricky (Shelly) Barnes; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother Lloyd (Norma) Barnes; nieces, nephews and many friends. Prayer service will be 9:15 AM Saturday at the Colligan Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM Saturday at Queen of Peace Church. Burial in St. Stephen Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
