d. February 6, 2012

Jack S. Carr, age 88, of Hamilton, passed away Monday, February 6, 2012 at home. The son of Sam and Mary (Heath) Carr, Jack was born in Hamilton, Ohio on August 31, 1923. On March 31, 1951, he was united in marriage with Geraldine (Gerry) Feltz. Jack was a life long member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. He served during WW II in the U.S. Army in the 243rd Engineer Combat Battalion. He was a 1948 graduate of Miami University with a B.A. in Business. He also taught real estate appraisal for 12 years at Miami U. of Hamilton. While in college he was introduced to the Campus Owls, a group of accomplished musicians, widely known in the midwest. It was through this passion where he developed the strong friendships with his fellow musicians and their families. For over a half century, Jack entertained thousands, both young and not so young, at the concerts in and around the Hamilton-Fairfield area. He is survived by one brother, Dr. James R.
