Lavolia "Boots" M Isaacs

Lavolia “Boots” M. Isaacs, lovingly known as Boots, passed away on October 18, 2026, in Hamilton, Ohio, at the age of 82. She was born on December 29, 1943, in Hamilton, Ohio, to Clayborn and Florence Harris.

From childhood, Boots carried the nickname that stayed with her throughout her life. She earned it by slipping on her father’s boots every day when he came home from work, a small and tender memory that remained part of the story of who she was. That warmth and familiarity followed her into every season of life.

Boots worked for many years as a bookkeeper for a construction company. She was a woman who believed in hard work and passed that strong work ethic on to her daughters. She also found joy in the simple and memorable things that made life rich. She enjoyed reading, could never pass up a yard sale, and had a special love of lamps. She loved working in the yard and caring for her flower garden, places where her steady hands and attentive spirit could shine.

One of the clearest ways Boots showed love was through service to others. Baking and cooking were her love language, and she gave generously of herself in those everyday acts of care. She was also especially gifted with babies. Her family will long remember the little stool she used, where she could soothe even the hardest baby to sleep. It was one more expression of her patient, comforting nature and the gentle touch that made so many feel safe and loved.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Keith Isaacs; her parents, Clayborn and Florence Harris; her brothers, Wayne Harris, Clyde Harris, Gary Harris, and Ronnie Harris; and her sister, Shirley Jackson.

Boots leaves behind a family who will carry her memory forward with deep love and gratitude. She is survived by her daughters, Debbie and David Wilson, Colleen and Jim Moore, and Staci Isaacs. She also leaves her cherished grandchildren, Katie and Collin Grooms, Samantha Isaacs and Clint Strayer, Dalton Moore and Amanda Pennington, Noah Moore and Chadé Ovletrea, Colton Moore and Jené Adams, Jaydn and Mariah Isaacs, and Jevan Isaacs. Her legacy continues as well in her great-grandchildren, Owen Grooms; Charlotte, Bellahmy, Stormi, Ellee, and Benson Moore; and Aydn Iseni, Enzo Isaacs, and Elaina Boedicker. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who were part of the wide circle of family she held dear.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 31, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Optimist Club, 194 Joe Nuxhall Way, Fairfield, Ohio 45014. Words of Remembrance and Prayers will be shared there from 3:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.

Boots will be remembered for her devotion to family, her generous heart, her comforting presence, and the many quiet ways she cared for others. Her life was a blessing, and her memory will remain a treasured part of all who knew and loved her.
