Leonard Osso

Leonard J. Osso, age 90, of Hamilton passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014. He was born in Hamilton on January 5, 1924, the son of immigrant parents, Salvatorre and Assunda (Delligati) Osso. He was a 1943 graduate of Hamilton Catholic High School. SO2c Osso, U S Navy served His country 1943 – 1946. He was a valued employee of Fisher Body for 35 years. He excelled in sports and was the recipient of numerous awards including induction into the Indiana National Football League Hall of Fame. Survivors include his brother, John Osso; sister-in-law, Jean Barger; other family members and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of over 60 years, Lucille Withrow Osso; two sisters, Mary Osso Cox and Josephine Osso and two brothers, Anthony Osso and Robert Osso. Visitation will be at Queen of Peace Church on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 from 9:00 AM til 11:00 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery.
