Marion Dorin

Marion Dorin, 77, of West Chester, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019. She leaves behind her husband, George Dorin and children, Randall Slamowitz (Karyn), Samanda Wieland (John) and Russell Slamowitz, her step-children, Michael Dorin, Joan Delph, grandchildren, Matthew Wieland and Sidney Gibson (Eric) and great – granddaughter, Zoey. Born in New York, she had actively volunteered and served on the Board for the Mentally Challenged. In Ohio, she raised funds for the Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty and the George & Marion Dorin Fund for the Blind. At retirement centers, she volunteered with her therapy dog, Madi. In 2008 Marion was honored as Women of Excellence – “Warm in Spirit and Kind of Heart” by the West Chester Chamber of Alliance. Marion graduated with a Master’s from Xavier University and demonstrated a passion for education as a teacher and adminstrator in the Cincinnati Public School System. In lieu of flowers, please direct donations to a charity of the donor’s choice. Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Beth Israel Cemetery
