Marjorie Mcgill

Marjorie Ann McGill (nee Mathis), died in her home on Thursday, November 30, 2017 in Hamilton, OH after a long battle with lung disease. She was born on February 28, 1935 in Washington, IN to her parents Orlie and Mabel (McCoy) Mathis. She married James McGill in 1955. The McGills lived in Elmwood Place, OH and later moved to Springdale, OH where they lived for many years before moving to Hamilton. Marge was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church in Springdale and later Zion Lutheran Church in Hamilton where she loved decorating the bulletin boards for each month’s seasonal events. Marge is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Dell McGill of Jamestown, NC, daughter Cynthia Kerns of Miamisburg, OH, son and daughter-in-law Brian and Alisa McGill of Hamilton; eight beloved grandchildren, Katie, Kelly, Chelsea, Sean, Eric, Kyle, Ryan and Emma and four adored great-grandchildren, Colin, Rhett, Hank and Wendy. She is preceded in death by her husband, James and her brother and sisters, Charles Mathis, Esther Purdue, Dorothy Woody, Jewell Mullinix and Carol Lentz. Visitation will be Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Zion Lutheran Church, 212 S Front Street, Hamilton from 10:00 AM til time of service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Springdale, OH. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Marge’s life.
