Childers, Michael Allen, age 53, of Hamilton, was called home to be with the Lord on Sept. 20, 2008. Michael worked for Mosler Safe Company for 25 years. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, fishing, the outdoors and sports. Mike knew no stranger and was always helping others. He was involved with AA as a counselor and served in the U.S. Marine Reserves for 6 years. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family which he valued and they will miss him dearly. Mike valued the time he spent with all his nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews as they were an important part of his life. Michael is survived by his dear mother Doris (Brown) Berry, two sisters Cindy (Clint) Thomas and Donjeana (Danny) DeLong, many nieces and nephews, close friends Steve Smith and Danny Vangden, and his two beloved pets, Pansy and Precious. He is preceeded in death by his step father Donald Berry and brother David Berry and his grandparents. Visitation will be held Friday, September 26, 2008 in the Hamilton Christian Center, 1940 Millville Road, Hamilton, OH. from 11:00 AM til time of services at 12:30 PM. The family would like to express their “Sincere Appreciation” to the nurses, aids and staff at Heartland of Fairfield, as well as Hospice of Cincinnati for all their care, support, compassion and understanding during his extended illness. They would also like to express their “Sincere Appreciation” to the Hamilton Christian Center and their staff for all their prayers, and help throughout this time of sorrow.
