Michael Dean James

Michael "Mike" Dean James, Sr., passed away on March 20, 2024, at the age of 69.  He was born on December 18, 1954, to Jimmy and Glenna (nee Hudson) James. He was a graduate of Koshonong High School in Missouri.  He served in the US Navy from 1973 to 1976. After the Navy he went to work as a mechanic.  He moved all around the country working as a mechanic in a Cheese factory and also on a oil rig.  His skills helped provide for his family.  When he wasn't working, he enjoyed fishing.  He met Paula Johnson Abner and they were married on August 18, 2007.

He is survived by his loving wife Paula James; his children: Crystal (Nicole) Willis, Michael Dean James, Jr., Jimmy Richard James; grandchildren: Michael Dean James III, and Joscelynn Mae. siblings: Orville (Yolunda) James, John James, Alethia (John) Bilotta, Robert James, Rex (Amanda) James, Jesse (Jason) James, Leann (Mark) Croney.

Preceded in death by his parents: Jimmy and Glenna (nee Hudson) James; siblings: Jimmy Ray "Jiggs" James, and Mammie (Dan) Lightcap.    
Graveside services will be held at Hickory Flats Cemetery, on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 1 pm, with Military Honors.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
