Nazaire Plapp died peacefully on February 4, 2012 with her son at her bedside. Known to many as “Sis”, she was born on January 12, 1922 in Hamilton, Ohio to Paul and Norma Wellinghoff. She touched the lives of many people who enjoyed warm summer evenings with ice cream and dairy products that they made with care. She is survived by her son, Stephen Plapp of Cincinnati, Ohio and wife, Kathy; daughter, Barbara Plapp Tripoli Of Cary, North Carolina and her husband Philip; brothers, Paul Wellinghoff, John Wellinghoff, Arnold Wellinghoff and Louis Wellinghoff and sister, Jeanette Mayer. She has five grandchildren, Chris Keller, Louis Plapp, Philip Tripoli, Jennifer Tripoli and Rachel Jefferies and several great grandchildren. Her daughters, Shirley Jefferies and Kathleen Plapp and brother Art Wellinghoff preceded Nazaire in death. At her request, there will be no visitation, however, friends are invited to attend Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM, Thursday, February 9th at Schroder Manor Chapel.
