Bob was a friend to many, known for his quiet humor and gentle compassion. He loved the outdoors and fulfilled this passion by working at Hueston Woods State Park for over 30 years, retiring in 1997 as Assistant Park Manager. Bob’s friends and family were often recruited and quick to help with these ventures. Bob was fond of antique tractors and was a member of several Antique Farm Machinery Clubs and expanded his talents by making homemade donuts at many of the local farm shows. One of Bob’s greatest pastimes was participating in the Butler County Fair. He spent many years as Superintendent of the Agricultural Hall and then served on the Butler County Fair Board for 10 years, retiring after his stroke in 1998.
