Ruth E. Roberts

Ruth E. Roberts, née Schultz, passed away peacefully in Hamilton, Ohio, on July 3, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on December 5, 1939, in Hamilton, Ruth was a lifelong resident of her beloved hometown, where she built a life marked by integrity, devotion to family, and enduring kindness.

Ruth’s legacy is deeply felt by her family and all who knew her. She was the cherished daughter of Daniel and Helen Schultz, both of whom preceded her in death. Ruth was also predeceased by her beloved husband, William Roberts, whose memory she held dear throughout her later years, as well as her siblings: sister Genieva Mullins, brother Joe Schultz, and sister Barbara Mick.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Sherry Watkins, and her son-in-law, Paul Watkins, who carry forward Ruth’s values of resilience and compassion. Ruth’s presence will also be profoundly missed by Shawn Winkler, great nephew and caretaker, along with her many nieces and nephews whose lives were enriched by her warmth, wisdom, and steady support.

Throughout her long life, Ruth was known for her unwavering commitment to those around her. Her kindness, reliability, and dedication served as a foundation for her family and a source of comfort for friends. Ruth’s laughter, stories, and practical wisdom created an atmosphere of love and stability in the homes and hearts she touched.

A graveside service honoring Ruth Ellen Roberts’s life will be held at Hickory Flats Cemetery, 4464 Morganthaler Road, Hamilton, OH 45011, on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Friends and family are invited to gather at Hickory Flats Cemetery to remember and celebrate Ruth’s remarkable life.

As her family, friends, and community mourn the loss of Ruth, they also reflect with gratitude on the profound influence she had throughout her 86 years. Her legacy will live on in the memories and stories of those whose lives she so positively shaped.
