Ruth Von Hagen

Von Hagen, Ruth Regina (Krause) age 90 of Waterford of Fairfield, passed away 7:10 PM Tuesday, March 25,2008 at Good Samaritan Hospital of Cincinnati. Ruth was born in Hamilton on September 3 1917, the daughter of Jacob and Clara (Buckner) Krause.On August 17, 1935, she eas united in marriage to Louis William Von Hagen. Ruth and Lou were active charter members of the Hamilton Boat Club.Ruth was also very active in various area parishes including St. Peter Church while her children were young, St. Mary Church after their move to Headgates Road and later with St. Joseph Church where she participated in many church volunteer activities.Ruth especially treasured her activities and friendships with the members of the Sterling Silvers. Mrs. Von Hagen was a well known local real estate agent. Ruth always exhibited the following traits; a gentle, loving spirit, kindness, humility, wisdom, generousity, courage and resolve.She leaves her family; three children, Louis (Theresa) Von Hagen, Rita (Lanny) monette and Kathleen (Cy) Overbeck; eleven grandchildren, Lisa Stauffer, John, Richard and Robert Von Hagen, Julie Smith, David Monette, Kim Legocki, Erik Von Hagen, Michael, Brian and Mark Overbeck; ten great grandchildren and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lou Von Hagen, one son, David Von Hagen and one grandson, Michael John Monette. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Saturday at St. Joseph Church of Hamilton. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Friday at the Colligan Funeral Home, 437 So. 3rd Street, Hamilton.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Arc of Butler County Bereavement Fund,282 Fair Ave., Hamilton,Ohio 45011.
