Thomas A. Thieman, 91, , passed away March 6 2017. He was born in Hamilton on January 22, 1926, the son of William and Louise (Elzer) Thieman. On July 31, 1954, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth M. “Liz” Chaney. Tom retired from the US Post Office as a letter carrier. MOM3 Thieman, US Navy served His country with honor during both WW II and Korea. He was proud to be a “Plank Owner” of the USS Hyde APA 173. Tom attended the Honor Flight to Washington D.C. on September 5,2015.Survived by a son, Matthew Thieman; three grandchildren and one great-grandson; a sister, Mary (Jim) Spicer; nieces, nephews and Mike and Linda Chaney of Indiana He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 57 years, Liz Thieman and a brother, William Thieman. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the Colligan Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Friday at St. Julie Billiart Church. Interment at St. Mary Cemetery.
