William Barnthouse

William D. Barnthouse, 67, of Hamilton, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Hamilton on February 28, 1949 to the late Lawrence and Marjorie (Howe) Barnthouse. He graduated from Washington State University in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. After becoming a Certified Public Accountant in 1977, he partnered with his father, to what is now known as Barnthouse & Cornett CPA’s, LTD. He was dedicated to fostering his career through his affiliations with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Ohio Society of CPA’s, and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. He was a man who enjoyed weekly bowling leagues, annual fishing trips to Canada and traveling across the United States. He had a love for animals and nature. He took great pleasure in discussing the world’s current political events, with everyone he met, whether they welcomed it or not. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Stephanie (Bowling) Barnthouse. He is also survived by his 3 children; Laura (Paul) Barilleaux, Julia (Tim) Felts and Sean (Mindy) Scott; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren ,many family members and friends. Visitation will be held at Colligan Funeral Home, 437 South 3rd Street, on Tuesday, July 12th from 11:00 AM til time of service at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in St. Stephens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his honor to Hospice of Cincinnati or the American Cancer Society. ‘Bill’s dead, the truck’s for sale.”
