HUFFMAN, William Glenn Jr., “Huffy” “Colonel”, 91, of Hamilton, passed away, Wednesday, March 2, 2011. Glenn was born in Hamilton, on January 26, 1920, the son of William Glenn and Ethel May (Wolsterholm) Huffman. While serving in the US Army, during WW II, Pfc Huffman, was wounded in action on Munda, New Georgia Island. On June 26, 1948 he was united in marriage to Jayne Ann Bayless. A hard worker, Huffy was a pattern maker at Black Clawson and later at Sawbrook Steel. He was inducted into the Butler County Softball Hall of Fame in 1988. He loved fast and slow pitch baseball, softball and basketball. Survived by his wife, Jayne Ann Huffman; sister Faye (Eldon) Withrow and their children, Sherry (Don) Kurtz, Steve (Lisa) Withrow and Karl (Ginny) Withrow; nieces, Jayne Anne “Janie” (Steve) Pidcock, Donna Jo and Deborah and nephews Charles William Ballinger, Louis, Robert and William.There will be no visitation and services are private.
